Millions of women and children face severe challenges globally. Through Wick of Hope's partnership with i=Change, we are supporting three vital projects to address these critical issues:
Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
Over 40 million people worldwide are trapped in modern slavery, with 71% of them being women and children. In partnership with Hagar Australia, we support survivors of slavery, human trafficking, and severe abuse. Our mission is to provide trauma counseling, safe housing, legal aid, and educational opportunities. Since 1994, Hagar has helped over 19,000 individuals rebuild their lives, and we empower survivors at every stage of their recovery.
Children in Crisis
Children are the most vulnerable in times of conflict and disaster. The escalation of violence in places like Israel and Gaza has caused immense trauma for children, forcing many to flee their homes. In partnership with Save the Children, we provide emergency health units, mental health support, and child-friendly spaces to help children recover from these traumatic experiences.
Stunting and Malnutrition in Children
In remote regions such as the island of Rote, Indonesia, many children suffer from stunting due to malnutrition. Stunting increases the risk of mortality, disease, and developmental delays. Through our partnership with SurfAid, we are improving the nutritional status of over 1,500 children by educating parents and improving access to healthy food.
