Dogs have roughly forty times the scent receptors we do, so a candle that reads as pleasant to you can be overwhelming at their height. Are these candles safe for cats?

We avoid absolute safety claims, because no candle is a controlled environment. What we can show you is the formulation: no eucalyptus, peppermint, cinnamon or citrus, a coconut soy wax blend, phthalate-free fragrance, and a lead-free wick. That is a materially gentler option than a standard paraffin candle. Burn it with airflow and out of reach.

Are these candles safe for dogs?

Same answer and same formulation. The scent throw is deliberately gentler, which tends to suit dogs given how much stronger their sense of smell is than ours.

Which fragrances do you leave out, and why?

Eucalyptus, peppermint, cinnamon and citrus. These are the notes most commonly flagged as irritants for cats and dogs, so we removed them from this collection entirely rather than reducing them.
